Envirolet Reviews: Newfoundland LWRS Installation

Thanks to David and Josephine for sending us their testimonial and installation photos of their Envirolet® Low Water Remote System in Newfoundland.

Dear Buzz:

We installed an Envirolet low water remote toilet system at our summer home in beautiful Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland. It is very difficult and costly to install a septic system. In our case it was next to impossible.

We had been using the old out house and a portable toilet but this was not ideal especially when the weather was cold and wet.

We have been using our new system since July 2009 and we could not be happier. This system is ideal for our location. We are so pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to anyone who needs one in Newfoundland. No more trips to the out house and good-bye portable toilet.

Envirolet in the Toronto Star

There was quick mention of Envirolet® Composting Toilets in the Saturday Toronto Star Your Home section. Steve Maxwell, writer and home/cottage expert writes that composting toilets do indeed work — at least the few known brand names he names, including Envirolet®:

“In fact, I know for sure that composting toilets do work. The trick is choosing the right kind, and using it with reasonable expectations. I’ve seen Envirolet, [and some other competitive models] self-contained composting toilets work well over a number of years in the real world. There may be other brands that function properly, I just can’t vouch for them personally.”
